Baker Botts Adds Anna Irion to Global Projects Team

November 12, 2025 Jason Philyaw

Baker Botts said Wednesday that Anna Irion is joining its Global Projects department in Houston after more than a dozen years focusing on all things midstream with Jackson Walker.

“Anna is a seasoned midstream lawyer with exactly the kind of relationships and technical depth our energy clients need right now,” Baker Botts Managing Partner Danny David said. “She’s built a reputation for getting complicated deals across the finish line, and her combination of transactional skill and commercial problem-solving is what sets great energy lawyers apart.”

In addition to her experience on complex midstream oil and gas transactions, Irion also advises data center clients on natural gas supply and power generation. Baker Botts said she recently guided a hyperscale data center through construction, transportation and supply contracts for onsite power generation.

“I’m excited to join Baker Botts and work alongside a team that’s already synonymous with energy law,” Irion said. “The firm’s global reach and deep bench of experience allow me to help clients navigate increasingly complex deals as the market evolves and becomes more complex.”

The firm said Irion strengthens its growing energy and digital infrastructure practice.

“Anna’s reputation as a top midstream lawyer is well-earned, and her background in both midstream infrastructure and data center energy procurement aligns perfectly with where energy markets are headed in the U.S.,” said Baker Botts Global Projects Chair Jason Bennett. “With energy companies now learning the tech world and tech companies learning the energy industry, there’s a need for attorneys who already know both. That’s Anna.”
