After 16 years working together, Charla Aldous and Brent Walker separately announced Wednesday morning they’re moving on to new ventures.
Aldous has formed Aldous Law with trial lawyers Caleb Miller and Eleanor Aldous, while Walker has launched Brent Walker Law. The split appears amicable, with each lawyer praising the other in statements released Wednesday.
“Brent and I had many successful years together,” Aldous said. “I am certain he will meet with great success in all that he does in the future, and I wish him the very best.”
Walker said the new firm will allow him “to spend more time focusing deeply on select cases.”
“I had a wonderful experience with Charla, and I am very proud of what we accomplished and wish her continued success,” he said. “I depart with a real excitement for this next stage of my career.”
The lawyers did not make themselves available for interviews.
Walker’s new firm will be focused on complex catastrophic personal injury cases. And Aldous Law will specialize in handling personal injury cases, including wrongful death, trucking collisions, medical malpractice, products liability and sexual assault cases.
Aldous is a 1982 graduate of Austin College and graduated from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law in 1985. Walker graduated from Washington and Lee University in 2001 and is a 2004 graduate of SMU’s Dedman School of Law.
