Frisco’s Skinny IT – once a rising star in North Texas – has filed for bankruptcy.
The company, which provided technology services, has liabilities of about $10 million to $50 million compared to assets of $1 million to $10 million, according to a new filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas. Skinny IT has between 200 and nearly 1,000 creditors.
The Chapter 7 filing comes after Skinny IT closed its Frisco office – and also warned it would shutter its facilities in Kansas City, according to separate filings in October. The company had sought new capital last year to keep operating.
The company’s website does not appear to be working. Richard Grant, the lawyer listed for the debtor in the filing, didn’t immediately return a phone message seeking comment.
