IP Heavyweight Jeff Homrig Returns to Weil

August 1, 2025 Jeff Schnick

Weil has bolstered its Texas presence by bringing back Jeff Homrig to the firm, this time as its Co-Head of its new IP, Technology & Science Litigation practice.

The intellectual property trial lawyer is coming back to where he began his career in 2001, the firm announced in a news release.

Homrig returns to Weil after spending more than a dozen years with Latham & Watkins, where he most recently served as the vice chair of IP litigation in Austin. Before that, he was a partner at Kasowitz in its Silicon Valley office, which he joined after a decade with Weil in Silicon Valley.

He’ll work in both the Dallas and Houston offices in his new role.

AREAS OF FOCUS
Homrig specializes in high-stakes intellectual property litigation, including patent, trade secret and commercial disputes for leading technology and life sciences companies.
