A trio of ex-Polsinelli patent lawyers, including a Dallas attorney, have joined Norton Rose Fulbright, the global law firm announced Tuesday.
Adam Rehm, who is based in Dallas, joins Norton Rose as a partner in its intellectual property practice. Rehm brings more than 20 years of experience specializing in patent and trademark prosecution, freedom to operate studies, licensing and litigation.
Before becoming a lawyer, Rehm was a design engineer for a plastics engineering company. He also worked for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as a patent examiner.
Rehm was a shareholder at Polsinelli, where he worked for 10 years. He also previously worked for Dentons (formerly SNR Denton, Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal) and the U.S. Department of Justice as an IP special counsel.
Rehm obtained his law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. He has a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology from Pittsburg State University. He is also a graduate of the USPTO’s Patent Academy.
Rehm is licensed to practice law in Texas, Kansas and Missouri.
Norton Rose also boosted its IP practice with Rhiannon D’Agostin, a partner based in Denver, and attorney Zack Cleary in Dallas.
Growing the firm’s IP practice is key to Norton Rose’s strategic growth plan, U.S. Managing Partner Jeff Cody said in an announcement. The trio’s “technical backgrounds and extensive subject matter knowledge” give them the advantage of understanding “a client’s needs from the earliest stages of development,” added Tim Kenny, U.S. Head of IP.
“Their entrepreneurial and progressive practices fit well with our innovation-focused approach to providing clients with effective and efficient legal services,” Kenny said.
