A&O Shearman Snags Veteran Energy Finance Partner from Mayer Brown

A&O Shearman has hired Paul Astolfi as a partner in its energy, natural resources and infrastructure practice in its Dallas office. The veteran energy and project investment lawyer has decades of experience advising institutional investors, banks and other debt providers on energy transition matters, with a particular focus on renewable energy, according to a news release.

Previously, he was the co-leader of the global projects & infrastructure group at Mayer Brown in Chicago, where Astolfi will still spend a significant amount of time for A&O Shearman. He worked at Mayer Brown for more than 15 years.

AREAS OF FOCUS
Astolfi specializes in renewable energy projects, M&A, multi-tiered financing structures, cross-border transactions and bond financings, according to the release. He also has experience with greenfield and brownfield projects, gas-fired power plants, hedged merchant wind and solar facilities, as well as contracted solar facilities.

Law School: University of Michigan (J.D., 2000)
