(Sept. 19) – Weil, Gotshal & Manges recently announced that Dallas senior associate John O’Connor has been selected by the Business Council for the Arts for its 2016-2017 Leadership Arts Institute.
O’Connor is one of 40 business leaders and five arts administrators that will be trained in leadership, nonprofit board best practices and knowledge of current issues affecting cultural institutions in North Texas. He will be matched to serve on a nonprofit board of directors in the community after completing the program.
O’Connor has been recognized in the past for his commitment to pro bono service. He is a recipient of the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program’s Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year and the State Bar of Texas’ Frank J. Scurlock Award.
