Texas Governor Rick Perry has appointed Philip A. Vickers, a partner at Cantey Hanger, to the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners. The board licenses and regulates the profession of physical therapy in Texas.
“I am humbled to have been selected by the Governor to serve Texas in this role,” Vickers said in a statement. “As a public member of the Board, I look forward to contributing to the Board’s work in ways that benefit both Texas’ talented group of physical therapists and the Texans they serve.”
The UT School of Law graduate focuses his practice on business litigation involving commercial contracts, commercial torts, shareholder disputes, insurance coverage, trademarks, copyrights, patents, antitrust and appellate proceedings.
Vickers also coordinates the firm’s pro bono activities and is the chair-elect of the Tarrant County Bar Foundation Volunteer Attorney Services Committee.
He is appointed for a term to expire Jan. 31, 2019.
