Hunton AK Promotes Houston Trial Lawyer to Partner

Hunton Andrews Kurth kicked off its new fiscal year by announcing the promotion of eight lawyers at the firm, including one in Texas.

Houston commercial litigator Ashley Kahn has been promoted to partner after more than two years as counsel at Hunton. Kahn has been with the firm for almost a dozen years, having served as an associate since September 2013 before being promoted to counsel in February 2023.

In addition to her work at Hunton, Kahn has performed as a municipal court prosecutor in the City of Houston’s Volunteer Prosecutor Program.

AREAS OF FOCUS

Kahn specializes in commercial litigation, focusing on energy, technology, construction, corporate governance, and fiduciary matters. She advises and represents clients throughout all stages of litigation in both state and federal courts, as well as in alternative dispute resolutions.

EDUCATION

Undergraduate: Northwestern University (Broadcast Journalism, 2010)

Law School: University of Houston Law Center (J.D., 2013)
