Barnes & Thornburg has hired veteran Louisiana litigator Kelly E. Brilleaux as a partner in its Dallas office, the firm announced in a news release Thursday.
An experienced product liability litigator, notably in the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors, Brilleaux also has a considerable background that includes consumer mass tort, environmental and toxic tort litigation.

“Product liability litigation often involves high-stakes matters that require thoughtful, tailored solutions to manage risk and achieve favorable outcomes,” said D. Randall Brown, chair of Barnes & Thornburg’s Litigation Department, in the release. “Kelly’s deep experience across various stages of litigation enables her to handle the evolving and complex challenges our clients face. I’m thrilled to welcome someone with her skillset to our team, further enhancing our ability to navigate these intricate and sophisticated cases.”
Brilleaux was hired by Barnes & Thornburg earlier this year from New Orleans, where she worked at Irwin Fritchie for nearly a decade and a half, with the last six years there as a partner.
“Our clients in Texas and beyond depend on seasoned litigators who can help them navigate the complexities of emerging and nuanced markets,” said Thomas Haskins, managing partner of the firm’s Dallas office, in the release. “With her relentless advocacy and knowledge of product liability litigation across multiple jurisdictions, I am confident that Kelly will be a valuable asset to our clients in Texas and across the U.S.”
