Dell Technologies In-house Counsel Joins Yetter Coleman IP Group

June 4, 2025 Alexa Shrake

Bailey Watkins started her first day as senior counsel with Yetter Coleman on June 3.

“Yetter Coleman has a stellar reputation and a proven commitment to growing the IP group on a national scale. My recent experience in-house at Dell has shaped the way I analyze IP concerns both in terms of litigation strategy and also business-focused problem solving,” Watkins told The Texas Lawbook. “Joining a top-notch trial team will allow me to put those skills to great use in and out of the courtroom. I am excited to join Jeff [Andrews], Natalie [Alfaro Gonzales], and the rest of the IP team and I look forward to serving our clients in this ever-evolving legal landscape.”

Prior to Watkins’ three years as in-house counsel with Dell Technologies, she was briefly an associate at Kirkland & Ellis where she focused on intellectual property.

Her first job out of law school was with Baker Botts as an IP associate where she practiced for five years.

“Bailey brings an outstanding combination of technical expertise, trial acumen, and in-house experience to our IP team,” Andrews, who leads Yetter Coleman’s IP practice said in a press release. “Her addition reflects our focus on building a team equipped to address the most sophisticated IP challenges and deliver strategic, business-focused solutions for our clients.”

Watkins’ practice will include representing clients in patent, trade secret, and technology-related disputes in federal courts, the International Trade Commission, and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

She will also advise on IP strategy and risk management.

“We are thrilled to welcome Bailey to our team as part of our continued strategic growth. Bailey’s technical depth and practical approach to IP litigation make her a significant asset,” Gonzales, a partner in the IP group said in a press release. “Her ability to connect with inventors, engineers, and business leaders on their own terms is essential to delivering the results our clients expect.”

She earned her J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law and holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Biology from Tufts University.
