The Litigation Counsel of America (LCA) has awarded Greenberg Traurig’s Victor Vital with the inaugural Peter Perlman Service Award. The award honors LCA Fellows who show exemplary service to their communities by giving their time and resources to improve the lives of others.

“Victor is a leader in the community and a fine example of what it means to be a Greenberg Traurig lawyer,” Steve Carlin, managing shareholder of the firm’s Dallas office, said in a statement. “As we enter our tenth year in Dallas and in Texas, we are pleased to have expanded the Greenberg Traurig culture of collaboration and service with terrific people like Victor who truly understand the value of service to the community by committing their time to improving the quality of life for those around them.”

Vital, a litigation shareholder in the firm’s Dallas office, has tried more than 100 cases in his civil and white collar criminal defense practice and as a former state prosecutor in the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. His community involvement includes being a board member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas, Dallas Education Foundation and Downtown Dallas, Inc.

Vital is one of 25 LCA Fellows from around the country to be in the inaugural class of Peter Perlman Service Award recipients. The award was founded by LCA’s 2013 president, Peter Perlman.
