(Aug. 15) – McGuireWoods expanded its Houston litigation capabilities through hiring lawyer couple Yasser and Meghaan Madriz as partners, the firm recently announced.
Yasser and Meghaan practiced together at Haynes and Boone prior to joining McGuireWoods. Yasser focuses his practice on technology and intellectual property disputes, trade secret theft, unfair competition claims and energy litigation; Meghaan advises companies on employment law matters.
A former deal lawyer, Yasser also advises international companies in transaction based controversies and derivative disputes.
Meghaan recently won decertification of a nationwide Fair Labor Standards Act collective action in a exempt misclassification case, according to the press release from McGuireWoods. She defends clients in discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims and wage and hour disputes.
