Winstead announced recently that commercial real estate attorney John Adolph has joined the firm’s Dallas offices as a shareholder.
Adolph, who received his law degree from SMU, lateraled over from Wick Phillips. He says Winstead’s larger platform made sense for him as he looks to expand his practice.
“Winstead’s national recognition and depth in banking and real estate meshed well with my finance practice,” he says.
The bulk of Adolph’s practice involves representing banks in real estate and asset-based lending transactions. He notes that his practice has expanded over the past few years into representing investment funds in loan and preferred equity structures, usually with very limited time constraints.
“Despite rising interest rates, I’ve seen the number of deals remain steady this year, which bodes well for continued growth,” he says. “Lending capital continues to be readily available, and I have a positive outlook for this market for the foreseeable future.”
