Haynes and Boone recently announced that Houston partner Lynne Liberato has been named the recipient of the Texas Bar Foundation’s 2019 Gregory S. Coleman Outstanding Appellate Lawyer Award.
Liberato is the third Haynes and Boone appellate lawyer to win the award in the last five years. Nina Cortell and Mike Hatchell earned the honor in 2016 and 2015, respectively.
“This is a testament to the strength and stature of our appellate practice group,” Haynes and Boone Managing Partner Tim Powers said in a statement.
The Texas Bar Foundation’s website says the award is given to someone who exhibits an outstanding appellate practice while maintaining a strong commitment to providing legal services for the underserved. Mentoring young attorneys and possessing a strong moral compass to guide both professional and personal pursuits are also defined as key criteria.
Liberato will be recognized at the Texas Bar Foundation’s Annual Dinner on June 14 in Austin.
