Polsinelli has strengthened its corporate practice in Dallas by adding former Weil associate Natalie Fortenberry as a shareholder.
Fortenberry, who practiced at Weil for nearly nine years, advises public and private companies and private equity firms on acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs and investment transactions.
The SMU Dedman School of Law graduate has been lauded for her commitment to pro bono efforts. In 2016, she was named the State Bar of Texas Access to Justice Pro Bono Champion. One year prior, she received the Pro Bono Service Award from the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers and was declared the Lawyer of the Year by the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program.
Before her career in corporate law, Fortenberry worked as an independent auditor for Ernst & Young and, while attending law school, as a senior accountant for Hunt Realty Corp.
“Natalie’s acute legal perspective, coupled with her valuable financial background, makes her uniquely well-positioned to counsel current and future clients on their most pressing needs,” Jon Henderson, managing partner of Polsinelli’s Dallas office and chair of the firm’s national corporate and transactional practice, said in a statement.
