Jackson Walker Announces New Hires in Austin & San Antonio, including ex-Frost Bank Lawyer

December 11, 2019 Brooks Igo

Former Frost Bank Senior Vice President and Corporate Counsel Lindsey Berwick and energy regulatory expert Kirk Rasmussen have joined Jackson Walker as partners this month.

After nearly six years at Frost Bank, Berwick will be a part of Jackson Walker’s finance and banking practice in San Antonio. The St. Mary’s University School of Law alumna started her career in private practice at Hornberger Fuller & Garza.

“With experience on both sides of the table as in-house and outside counsel, I look forward to offering a unique, dual-lens perspective to businesses,” Berwick said in a statement. “Jackson Walker allows me to build upon that experience while growing in the legal profession.”

Berwick will advise borrowers and lenders on complex financing transactions ranging from term loans and revolving lines of credit to complex credit facilities for multimillion-dollar real estate portfolios.

Rasmussen was previously with the Austin regulatory and administrative law boutique Enoch Kever. He joins Jackson Walker’s electric utility practice group, where he will represent electric generators, investor-owned and public transmission and distribution utilities, retail electric providers and large consumers of electricity in state and federal regulatory matters.

Jackson Walker also announced that former administrative law judge Craig Bennett has joined the firm as senior counsel in Austin. He was formerly at Enoch Kever with Rasmussen.
