Womble Bond Dickinson announced on Monday that it has bolstered its capital markets and corporate offerings in Houston with the addition of José Luis Vittor from Hogan Lovells, where he co-led that firm’s oil and gas practice and chaired its water group.
Vittor is the 16th attorney in Womble’s Houston office, which is led by Jeff Whittle, who worked with Vittor at Hogan Lovells. The two attorneys also practiced together at Bracewell earlier in their careers.
“The energy industry sector is evolving at a breakneck pace,” Whittle said in a statement. “In this environment, clients need a law firm with a deep understanding of a wide range of matters across the entire global energy industry.”
Womble leaders highlighted Vittor’s deep project development and finance experience, particularly in the energy and infrastructure sectors. The firm, co-headquartered in London and North Carolina, has tasked Vittor with helping lead its efforts in Latin America.
