Purvi Patel, chair of Haynes and Boone’s Trademark Practice Group, has been elected to the International Trademark Association’s (INTA) Board of Directors. The appointment of the 2013-2015 board was made in November.
The board is the chief elected body of INTA and is responsible for the development and implementation of INTA’s strategic plan. Patel has been an active member of INTA for several years and is also co-chairing the 2013 INTA Annual Meeting. In addition, Patel has served on the Young Practitioner’s Committee and is currently serving on the Leadership Development Committee.
Patel focuses her practice on brand management, including domestic and international trademark portfolio protection and enforcement, trade dress and copyright counseling, IP licensing, social media, and cybersquatting and Internet issues.
