(Aug. 23) – Akin Gump announced yesterday that M&A pro Courtney York has joined the firm’s Dallas office as a partner.
York lateraled over from Baker Botts. She has special expertise in representing companies in the technology, media and telecommunications industries.
In July, York led Computer Science Corporation’s acquisition of Tribridge Holdings and Concerto Cloud Services.
One month prior, she led Richardson-based RealPage’s $70 million acquisition of American Utility Management, a leading provider of utility and energy management solutions for the multifamily housing industry.
In another RealPage transaction earlier this year, York was on the deal team that advised the global provider of software and data analytics to the real estate industry in its $300 million acquisition of Lease Rent Options and related assets from The Rainmaker Group.
The University of Texas School of Law graduate handles corporate governance matters in addition to advising on M&A, spin-offs and securities offerings.
