(Feb. 17) – Andrews Kurth announced on Monday that partner Dena Palermo has been named a U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas.

The firm expects she will begin her new job in March.

Palermo, co-chair of the firm’s white collar and regulatory enforcement practice, focuses her practice on FCPA-related matters with the SEC and DOJ.

“There is no higher calling than public service, and we wish Dena all the best on the bench,” Bob Jewell, Andrews Kurth managing partner, said in a statement.
