(Aug. 4) – Houston litigation boutique Copeland & Rice announced today that appellate expert Gwen Samora has joined the firm as a partner.
Samora practiced for 20-plus years at Vinson & Elkins, where she worked with Morgan Copeland and Tracey Rice, before running her own firm for the last two years.
A former law clerk to the Honorable Carolyn King of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, Samora has handled appeals in oil and gas, complex commercial, environmental and tax matters.
“It became clear that their firm presented the best of all possible worlds,” Samora said in a statement. “The ability to work with accomplished litigators who are, importantly, also friends and former colleagues in service of our clients.”
