Less than two weeks into the new year, another national law firm has made its foray into Texas.
Phoenix-based Snell & Wilmer announced Tuesday a Dallas office with three attorneys.
Former Winstead shareholder Scott Hancock, who practiced at Snell & Wilmer in Phoenix earlier in his career, will be the first partner in the firm’s 16th office. Hancock is joined by counsel Kyle Graves and associate Allison Venezia from Foley.
“Our success as a firm is due in part to our ability to establish offices in growing cities with strong and expanding business communities,” firm Chair Matthew P. Feeney said in a statement. “We are excited to establish a broader geographic footprint in the South Central region of the United States.
Hancock focuses his tax practice on trust and estate planning, business-succession planning and charitable planning. Graves and Venezia bring expertise in intellectual property matters.
Snell & Wilmer has also opened offices in Seattle, Portland and San Diego over the past two years.
