(June 20) – Littler Mendelson announced this week that former Haynes and Boone labor and employment partner Arthur Carter joined the firm’s Dallas office as a shareholder.
Carter, who focuses his practice on labor relations law, said labor and employment law requires the commitment and experience to develop specialized knowledge.
“From a comparative standpoint, Littler provides a platform that makes sense for labor and employment services,” said Carter, an adjunct professor at Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law. “There is significant subject matter expertise across a breadth of matters that is necessary for serving Corporate America.”
The University of South Dakota School of Law graduate says he is seeing an increase in the volume of litigation against employers in an increasingly challenging regulatory environment and a resurgence in organized labor in terms of legal acumen.
