(March 18) – The Asia Society in Houston honored Foster LLP Chairman Charles Foster and his wife, Lily Chen Foster, at the annual black tie Tiger Ball on March 12 benefitting the Asia Society Texas Center for their more than two decades of contributions to the nonprofit.

The Fosters helped with the planning and development of the $48 million-plus Asia Society Texas Center buildings, which was completed in 2011 and serves as the Asia Society’s headquarters. Charles Foster has served as a member and as chairman of the Society’s board of directors for 24 years, but is stepping down as chairman this year.

“Never have Lily and I been more proud of what we have accomplished together with many others,” Charles Foster said in a statement. “We stand in awe and count ourselves fortunate to have played a role in building this organization into the policy and cultural powerhouse it is today.”

The Houston-based chapter of the Asia Society serves as an educational organization promoting mutual understanding and strengthening partnerships among the peoples, leaders, and institutions of Asia and the U.S., according to a press release issued by Foster LLP, a Houston-based immigration law firm.

Foster, in addition to leading his firm and maintaining his law practice, has served as senior policy advisor to former President George W. Bush and President Barack Obama.
