Austin Appellate Pro Jumps to Greenberg Traurig

February 18, 2019 Brooks Igo

Greenberg Traurig has strengthened its appellate practice in Texas with the recent hiring of Elizabeth “Heidi” G. Bloch in Austin.

Bloch joins GT as a shareholder from Husch Blackwell. She practiced for nearly three decades at Brown McCarroll, including leading the firm’s appellate practice, before the firm merged with Husch in 2013.

The University of Texas School of Law graduate focuses her practice on appellate matters in the areas of general commercial litigation, construction litigation, and energy and natural resources disputes. She received an Amicus Service Award in 2018 from the International Municipal Lawyers Association.

“The firm has an exceptional appellate practice and it will remain an area of focus as we continue growing our presence in the Texas market,” Dale Wainwright, chair of the firm’s Texas appellate practice, said in a statement. “With the addition of Heidi to our team, we know clients, especially those in the energy sector, will find incredible value from her tenure and expertise in the appellate arena.”
