(April 22) – The Houston Young Lawyers Association (HYLA) named Baker Botts partner Hillary Holmes the 2014 winner of its Woodrow B. Seals Outstanding Young Lawyer Award, the firm announced Monday. The award is given to a young lawyer who best demonstrates professional proficiency, service to the profession and service to the community.
Holmes, who focuses her practice on capital markets transactions for master limited partnerships (MLPs) and corporations in the energy industry, serves as the chairperson of Baker Botts’ Houston Pro Bono Committee and as a member of the Houston Pro Bono Joint Initiative. She also currently serves as co-chair of the firm’s award-winning United Way Young Leaders campaign and as co-chair of the Annual Nonprofit Law Institute through HYLA and the United Way.
The HYLA will present Holmes with her award on April 28 at the HYLA/HYLF Law Day Luncheon.
