Baker Botts will promote 15 lawyers to partnership status effective Jan. 1, 2013. Nine of those lawyers are from either the firm’s Houston or Dallas office. They are:
James Chenoweth, whose practice focuses on federal income taxation, particularly regarding tax-free mergers and acquisitions, private joint ventures, master limited partnerships and tax controversy. He is in the firm’s Houston office.
Russ Crain, whose practice focuses on intellectual property litigation, including patent, trademark, trade secret and license disputes; patent portfolio development and licensing. He is in the firm’s Dallas office and is a 2004 graduate of Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law, where he served as the technology editor of the SMU Law Review.
Liz Flannery, whose practice focuses on patent litigation and prosecution. She is in the firm’s Houston office.
Walter Lynch, whose practice focuses on products liability, toxic tort, commercial and personal injury litigation. He is in the firm’s Houston office and is a 2004 graduate of the University of Houston Law Center, where he served as the executive editor of the Houston Law Review.
Tom O’Brien, whose practice focuses on commercial litigation. He is in the firm’s Dallas office and is a 2004 graduate of the University of Texas School of Law, where he won the Outstanding Editor Award, Outstanding Constitutional Law Note Award, and Outstanding Memorandum Award and served as the chief note’s editor of the Texas Law Review.
Jason Rocha, whose practice focuses on securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and general corporate and partnership matters. He is in the firm’s Houston office and is a 2003 graduate of the University of Texas School of Law.
Kim Schlanger, whose practice focuses on commercial real estate transactions and joint ventures with a focus in the real estate industry. She is in the firm’s Houston office.
Robinson Vu, whose practice focuses on patent and contract litigation and patent prosecution. He is in the firm’s Houston office.
Chris Wilson, whose practice focuses on general commercial real estate matters and energy-related commercial transactions. He is in the firm’s Houston office.
