Baker Botts Taps London Lawyer to Lead Middle East Offices

June 4, 2019 Brooks Igo

Baker Botts announced management changes in its Middle East offices this week.

The Houston-based firm has appointed Mark Rowley as partner-in-charge of the firm’s Dubai and Riyadh outposts. He steps in the role for John Lonsberg, who has led the firm’s Middle East presence since 2013.

Rowley currently leads the Baker Botts London office and will continue to do so as he takes on the new responsibilities in the Middle East.

“This move will allow us to enhance the efficiencies, collaboration and cross-marketing opportunities among these offices. In addition, this reorganization better aligns our management with the realities of our practices in the Middle East – where we routinely work as a coordinated team of lawyers across Dubai, Riyadh and London to provide the highest levels of service to our valued clients,” John Martin, managing partner of Baker Botts, said in a statement.
