Baker McKenzie Advances Five Texas Attorneys to Partner

Global law firm Baker McKenzie has minted 26 new partners in North America, including five in Texas.

Three of the partner promotions are in Dallas, while two are in Houston.

Mo Alturk is a Dallas corporate lawyer who counsels clients on cross-border joint venture transactions, international franchising, licensing and distribution transactions, international mergers and acquisitions and international regulatory compliance.

Jason Graham, a Master of Laws in tax, advises US and multinational companies on domestic and international tax planning and transactions. He offices in Dallas.

Brook Mestre focuses his practice in Dallas on representing purchasers and sellers in cross-border mergers and acquisitions transactions. He represented Dallas Stars Owner Tom Gaglardi in his purchase of the hockey franchise in 2011.

Jessica Averitt represents clients in the financial services, telecommunications and oil and gas industries on internal investigations, data privacy, data security, e-discovery, information management, information governance and discovery. She is based in Houston and received her law degree from the University of Texas.

Rodney Read is a Houston tax expert who advises clients on wealth management, pre-immigration planning, international estate planning and international tax matters. He graduated law school from the University of Houston.
