Baker McKenzie Picks Up M&A Partner John Quattrocchi

October 23, 2018 Brooks Igo

Baker McKenzie strengthened its corporate practice in Dallas this week with the addition of M&A partner John Quattrocchi.

Quattrocchi was previously at Weil. He believes Baker McKenzie’s “elite global platform” will significantly benefit his clients.

“I was impressed by Baker McKenzie’s strong market presence and its strategic focus in enhancing its transactional experience locally and nationally,” he says.

Quattrocchi advises multinational companies on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions in the energy, communications, media and entertainment, sports, technology and transportation industries. In a statement, Dallas Office Managing Partner Robert Albaral said Quattrochhi is a “highly-regarded M&A lawyer” in the Texas market.

One hot topic in Quattrocchi’s practice is a development in US foreign investment laws that went into effect on November 10. He says it will affect inbound investments in certain critical technologies.

“The change represents the first time that the United States has required a party to notify the government of certain transactions since the creation of the US foreign investment review regime and its introduction certainly will prompt foreign investors to escalate CFIUS risk assessment in its transactional due diligence,” he says.
