Baker McKenzie, Eversheds and Reed Smith Promote New Partners

December 19, 2024 Mark Curriden

The parade of firms announcing their 2024-25 partnership class continued Thursday.

Three global corporate law firms — Baker McKenzie, Eversheds Sutherland and Reed Smith — announced that some of their younger Texas lawyers had been elected to their partnerships.

To date, 29 corporate law firms operating in Texas have promoted 127 associates and counsel to partner in 2024.

So far, 76 of the 2024-25 partnership class are men and 51 are women. Sixty-four of the 127 are based in Houston and 50 office in DFW. Seventy-eight have a corporate transactional practice, while 49 handle litigation.

The full list of new partners for 2024-25 can be found on The Texas Lawbook’s Firm Management landing page.

Correction: An earlier version of this story misidentified the number of new Texas partners announced by Baker McKenzie, as well as a promotion that wasn’t to its partnership class. The Lawbook regrets the error.
