(July 23) – After launching its Dallas office in June, Barnes & Thornburg announced earlier this month that Jon Hyland and Thomas Haskins have joined its first Texas outpost as partners.
Hyland, who joins from Munsch Hardt, focuses his practice on patent infringement matters and will be in the intellectual property department, while Haskins, who was previously at Gardere, will be in the firm’s litigation department.
“Jon and Thomas’ arrival shows that we are wasting no time in executing the aggressive recruiting strategy we put in place to build this into a full-service office,” Mark Bayer, who launched the Dallas office, said in a statement. “We are aiming to have 20 to 25 attorneys in Dallas within 12 months and believe this new office space reflects our growing presence and overall goal of becoming a destination for the region’s premier legal talent.
According to the press release announcing the new hires, Barnes & Thornburg is in negotiations for approximately 15,000 square feet of office space at 2100 McKinney Avenue in Uptown.
