Barnes & Thornburg Recruits Hudson Advisors Senior Counsel to Join Dallas Office

May 10, 2019 Brooks Igo

Barnes & Thornburg has enhanced its corporate group in Dallas by luring a senior in-house lawyer at global asset management company Hudson Advisors.

Jason Myers, who joins the Indiana-based law firm as a partner, led the financial services legal team at Hudson Advisors, where he provided legal guidance and oversight on legal and regulatory matters in support of the treasury and global markets (derivatives) business unit.

In this capacity, Myers developed and implemented policies, procedures and best practices under Dodd-Frank, EMIR, and other global financial regulations; negotiated credit agreements and ISDA Master Agreements; and provided legal support for investments that include derivatives.

Prior to joining Hudson Advisors in 2012, Myers practiced for more than a decade at Vinson & Elkins.

“Jason’s deep knowledge of the financial services industry and leadership at a premier real estate investment firm will draw a lot of interest from clients looking to maximize the value of their assets,” Mark Bayer, managing partner of Barnes & Thornburg’s Dallas office, said in a statement.

Before graduating from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2001, Myers was a vice president of Mercer Asset Management Company.
