(Oct. 12) – Bracewell announced today that it has beefed up its white collar practice in Dallas with the addition of a team led by Barrett Howell and Brandon McCarthy.
The four-person group lateraled from K&L Gates. Becca Loegering and Ryan Meyer are joining as associates.
Howell focuses his practice on high-stakes government investigations and enforcement actions involving alleged securities and accounting fraud, healthcare billing and recordkeeping improprieties, bribery and corruption and violations of the Civil False Claims Act.
McCarthy, a former Assistant U.S. Attorney and felony prosecutor with the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office, specializes in white collar defense, internal investigations and regulatory enforcement. He has experience with health care fraud, investment fraud, securities fraud, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, bank fraud, embezzlement, Qui Tam, large scale corporate identity theft, tax fraud, FDA fraud, financial crimes, public corruption, organized crime and drug trafficking.
