Cantey Hanger’s Sarah Walls Appointed to Board of Directors of Meritas

May 13, 2013 Mark Curriden

Meritas keeps bringing good news to Cantey Hanger.

A few days after it was announced that Lee Wilkins, partner-in-charge of Cantey Hanger, won the 2013 Grahovac Award, partner Sarah K. Walls was appointed to the organization’s board of directors.

Walls will be responsible for reviewing and establishing policy and setting strategy for the alliance of international law firms, according to a statement. She will also serve as a liaison to member firms on administrative issues, encouraging and promoting cross communications and gathering feedback on Meritas initiatives.

The Harvard Law School graduate has been involved with Meritas for more than 10 years. She is also the founder and chairman of the environmental law section of the Tarrant County Bar Association and the chair of the environmental and safety committee of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, where she also serves on the board of directors.

Walls focuses her practice on business crimes and torts, environmental law and OSHA defense.
