Carrington, Coleman, Sloman & Blumenthal looked internally to elect its new managing partner. Bruce Collins, who has been at the firm since 1979, has succeeded Tim Gavin in the leadership role as of May 1.
“I could not be more pleased that Bruce is going to be leading the firm,” Gavin said in a statement. “He is certainly one of the best trial lawyers in the country, has demonstrated great leadership in everything he has done and, perhaps most importantly, has a singular devotion to his clients and their cause, whether large or small.”
Collins has been the chair of the firm’s securities and director and officer litigation practice. His practice focuses on securities and corporate governance litigation.
The UT School of Law graduate will also serve on the firm’s executive committee with partners Diane Sumoski, David Drumm and Monica Latin.
