CDT Data: Seven Law Firms Dominate the Biggest of Megadeals

November 24, 2025 Mark Curriden

Forty-four law firms in Texas led mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures between 2018 and Sept. 30, 2025, according to Corporate Deal Tracker data released last week.

But seven law firms have worked on the biggest of the megadeals.

Of the 44 law firms operating in Texas that led billion-dollar M&A transactions during the past seven years, 18 have a total combined deal value of $20 billion or more, and 11 have led deals with a combined deal value of $50 billion or more.

Who are the magnificent seven? Subscribers to The Texas Lawbook Sunday Corporate Deal Tracker newsletter found out yesterday. In the coming weeks, The Lawbook will also unveil dozens of additional law firm and lawyer rankings tied to the CDT’s historic deals database that goes back to January 2018 that are exclusive to the Sunday newsletter.

You won’t be able to get that content anywhere else, so click here to sign up for the Sunday CDT newsletter today.
