(Feb. 12) – Dallas arbitrator and mediator Christopher Nolland is this year’s recipient of the Justice Frank G. Evans Award.
The Justice Evans Award is given annually by the State Bar of Texas Alternative Dispute Resolution Section to honor someone who has “undertaken exceptional and outstanding efforts in promoting and furthering the use or research of alternative dispute resolution methods in Texas.”
“There is no doubt that Chris has been on the cutting edge of ADR since the beginning,” John DeGroote, chair of the State Bar’s ADR section, says. “He has moved ADR to a place of prominence.”
DeGroote pointed specifically to Nolland’s innovations as settlement counsel. He also credited Nolland with mentoring the next generation of arbitrators and mediators.
