Clark Hill Strasburger Receives LCLD’s Inaugural Compass Award

November 1, 2018 Brooks Igo

Clark Hill Strasburger announced this week that the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) honored the firm and Dallas member Daniel Butcher for their efforts to advance the careers of diverse attorneys.

Clark Hill received the inaugural Compass Award, given to an LCLD member who demonstrates an exemplary commitment to the Council’s goal of creating a diverse legal profession, at the Ninth Annual LCLD Membership Meeting last week in Washington, D.C.

“We are delighted to be a first-ever Compass Award winner,” Butcher, who is on the executive committee at Clark Hill, said in a statement.

“We genuinely value and affirm diversity in all of its forms, and we congratulate our Diversity and Inclusion Committee for their efforts that led to this well-deserved recognition from LCLD.”

The LCLD award recognized Clark Hill’s core diversity initiatives THRIVE, BOLD and PRIDE, which have led to an updated parental leave policy and flexible work scheduling options.

More specifically, THRIVE focuses on the recruitment, retention, advancement and client development for ethnically diverse attorneys; BOLD works to remove gender-based obstacles on the partnership and leadership track; and PRIDE concentrates on elevating and supporting LGBTQ lawyers.
