Crawford, Wishnew & Lang Hires New Partner

July 28, 2022 Brooks Igo

Dallas litigation firm Crawford, Wishnew & Lang has added Matthew Muckleroy as a partner. He is the firm’s sixth partner and 12th attorney.

Muckleroy received his law degree from SMU and gained experience at McCathern and Friedman & Feiger before launching his own law firm in 2018. One of his career highlights has been obtaining the reversal of a $48 million judgment against his client at the Fifth Court of Appeals.

Other recent matters Muckleroy has handled include:

  • Representing a local barbershop, Bonafide Barber Shop LLC, in a breach of fiduciary and conversion case that resulted in a judgment against its former employee.
  • Representing a commercial landlord, Campbell Greenville Partnership, Ltd., in a breach of lease agreement and statutory fraud case against a guarantor of the lease obligations that resulted in a judgment against the guarantor.
  • Representing the seller, FXB Dallas LLC, in an asset purchase dispute against the buyer of two fitness gyms that resulted in a bench trial verdict in our favor.

Before law school, Muckleroy worked in accounting at Devon Energy and was an underwriter for Bank of America.

“Matt is an outstanding addition to our firm,” Dave Wishnew, a founding partner at CWL, said in a statement. “His experience in so many areas, and his leadership in his field, will be a great asset to CWL and to the people we serve.”
