Dallas Firm Hires Ex-DEA Attorney to Strengthen Opioid Litigation Expertise

November 1, 2018 Brooks Igo

Dallas litigation firm Fears Nachawati added a former U.S. Department of Justice attorney as an associate this week to bolster its expertise in opioid litigation.

Jonathan Novak, who most recently practiced at McNamee Hosea in Maryland, was a litigator in the DOJ’s Drug Enforcement Administration from 2011 to 2015. His work with the DEA focused on controlled substance regulation, policy and compliance.

“Jonathan has served our nation well in the fight against opioids,” Bryan Fears, founding partner at Fears Nachawati, said in a statement. “Jonathan has been a DEA trailblazer, prosecuting opioid cases and working with the federal ARCOS database.”
