Deborah Ryan, Jonathan Bull and Jeff Cash have joined Seyfarth Shaw, bolstering the firm’s Dallas office. Ryan and Bull will focus their practices on commercial real estate development and environmental regulatory matters, while Cash will concentrate on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and other corporate transactions, according to a news release from Seyfarth.

Before joining Seyfarth, Ryan served as America’s Chair of the Global Real Estate practice group at Squire Patton Boggs, where she led complex commercial real estate investments, mixed-use condominium developments, leasing and financing transactions, and advised private equity portfolio companies as outside general counsel.
Bull spent more than 20 years at Jackson Walker counseling clients on environmental regulatory compliance, permitting, enforcement actions and contaminated property redevelopment. Previously, he served as Associate Regional Counsel in the Hazardous Waste Enforcement branch of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Cash most recently practiced at Cole Schotz, where he advised companies and individuals on complex M&A transactions, private investments, strategic alliances and joint ventures.

Seyfarth has maintained a Texas presence for more than three decades with its Houston office. The firm’s Dallas office opened in September 2023.
Ryan advises domestic and international developers, investors and private equity sponsors on acquisitions, residential condominiums, leasing and financing, and several other matters. Bull counsels regional and national clients on environmental compliance, permitting, remediation, enforcement defense and environmental risk in corporate and real estate transactions. Cash represents public and private companies, private equity sponsors and investors in mergers and acquisitions.
Ryan earned her law degree from Southern Methodist University and her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois. Bull received his law degree from SMU, his master’s degree from University of Massachusetts Amherst and his undergraduate degree from Washington and Lee University. Cash earned his law degree from Pepperdine University and his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University.
