Tariffs and Trade: Dallas Leaders Examine a Changing Landscape

As policymakers continue to recalibrate U.S. trade policy in the wake of “Liberation Day,” the real-world effects are still rippling across boardrooms, factory floors, and checkout counters. Ryan Gorsche and Katie Legband O’Brien, corporate M&A partners, have joined O’Melveny in Dallas from BakerHostetler, where they practiced in the firm’s mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital groups. They will focus their practices on complex domestic and cross-border M&A transactions and private equity matters.

Bailey C. Pompea, a bankruptcy and commercial litigation partner, has joined Bonds Ellis Eppich Schafer Jones in Fort Worth from Michael Best & Friedrich. She will focus her practice on bankruptcy, restructuring and complex business disputes.

Hilgers Launches New Practice With Dallas Litigator

Leanne Thoreson, a labor and employment senior counsel, has joined Hilgers in Dallas from Bradley Arant. She will focus her practice on employment litigation and counseling, including workplace disputes, compliance and risk mitigation strategies, according to a news release. Her arrival marks the launch of Hilgers' Labor & Employment practice as the firm expands its capabilities to meet the demand for employment services.

Houston Trial Partners Join Sorrels Law

Trial lawyers Leah Graham and Jim Rensimer have joined Sorrels Law in Houston. They will focus their practices on complex, high-stakes litigation, including wrongful death, personal injury and commercial disputes.
