By Brooks Igo
(June 14) – Deans & Lyons recently announced the opening of a Houston office with the signing of five veteran trial lawyers.
Michael Lyons, one of the founding partners of the Dallas-based litigation boutique, said the firm had been looking to expand to Houston for a while.
The firm lured Tom Sartwelle, Matt Pletcher and Jeff Nobles from Beirne, Maynard & Parsons. Matt McCracken and Chad Castille, who will serve as the managing partner of the office, were previously at Serpe Jones Andrews Callender & Bell.

“There is a real trust level personally and professionally with this group,” Lyons said. “They have a relentless enthusiasm for not only practicing law but developing relationships.”
Lyons noted that Sartwelle, who he has known his whole career, is “one of the most talented and respected” professional liability lawyers. He also emphasized that having Nobles, an appellate specialist, in Houston is advantageous for the firm.
The firm’s new outpost is located at 1001 Fannin St., Suite 1925.
