Dykema Hires MehaffyWeber Products Liability Pro in Houston

March 15, 2024 Michelle Casady

Trial lawyer Brad Howell has joined Dykema’s Houston office as a member of the firm’s product liability practice group after spending nearly six years practicing at MehaffyWeber.

Howell’s hire was announced Thursday. Managing member of Dykema’s Houston office, Isaac Villarreal, issued a statement praising the addition and said Howell joining the firm “fits perfectly with our goal of continuing to add top talent to Dykema’s Houston office.”

“Adding an established trial lawyer with a two-decade track record of success to our nationally recognized products liability group could not be a better, mutually beneficial fit,” Villarreal said. “The combination of Brad’s knowledge and experience with the firm’s established bench strength and national presence will allow us to continue to provide top-notch legal services for our clients.”

Howell’s trial experience is varied. He’s handled cases involving products liability, statutory indemnity, toxic torts, catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, fire investigations and commercial litigation. He counts among his clients one of the world’s largest heavy equipment manufacturers and has represented clients in courts across 11 states.

Prior to his stint at MehaffyWeber, Howell practiced at BakerHostetler for seven and a half years. He is a 1995 graduate of Texas A&M University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and government and in 1999 earned his law degree from South Texas College of Law Houston.
