EPA Counsel Jonathan Bull Rejoins Gardere

June 13, 2013 Mark Curriden

After serving two years as an enforcement attorney with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Jonathan Bull has returned as a senior attorney to Gardere’s Dallas office.

With the EPA, Bull served as an assistant regional counsel in Region 6, which covers Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico and Oklahoma. He prosecuted administrative enforcement actions under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, section 112(r) of the Clean Air Act and the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act.

“We are pleased that Jon has decided to return to the firm,” Gardere CEO Steve Good said in a statement. “His newfound insight into the government’s approach to compliance and regulatory programs will help him better advocate for our clients’ interests.”

Bull, a graduate of SMU’s Dedman School of Law, focuses his practice on litigation of claims involving contaminated properties, cleanup-cost recovery and underground storage tanks. He will return to the firm’s environmental practice group, where he worked nine years prior to his EPA service.
