(April 27) – Finance partner Scott Helbing is returning to Haynes and Boone as a partner 10 years after leaving as an associate to go in-house, the firm recently announced.
Helbing, who rejoins the Dallas office of Haynes and Boone from Strasburger & Price, focuses his practice on commercial lending and energy finance.
“The depth of experience of the Haynes and Boone finance team is hard to match,” he said. “They handle a wide array of transactions and have extensive experience in a wide range of financing transactions.”
In the past year, Helbing represented the agent bank on a credit facility to an international commodity trading company with operations in Australia, Brazil, Malaysia and the U.S.
The South Texas College of Law graduate says one of the hottest topics of the last six months in his energy finance practice is the approach that financial institutions and other investors will take in addressing the price decline with their existing customers and portfolio investments.
