Former Baker McKenzie Global Head of LNG Rejoins King & Spalding in Houston

January 25, 2019 Brooks Igo

King & Spalding announced this week that Houston LNG expert David Lang has returned to the Atlanta-based firm where he started his career.

Lang was most recently the global head of Baker McKenzie’s LNG practice. He says King & Spalding’s “market-leading” LNG practice has key specialties in energy regulatory and construction matters for his clients.

“King & Spalding has a long history of counseling both domestic and global LNG clients. David’s reputation and experience domestically and globally make him the perfect fit for our energy practice,” Tracie Renfroe, office managing partner of King & Spalding’s Houston office and head of the firm’s energy practice, said in a statement. “We expect to welcome a number of additional energy partners.”

Before enrolling in the University of Texas School of Law in 2000, Lang worked at ExxonMobil as a reservoir engineer for nearly two years. After graduating from UT in 2003, he started his legal career at King & Spalding before joining Vinson & Elkins two years later, where he eventually made partner.
