(April 7) – Fish & Richardson recently announced that the New York Intellectual Property Law Association selected former federal judge Leonard Davis as the recipient of its 2016 Outstanding Public Service Award.
After serving as chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas for more than a decade, Davis has spent the last year as of counsel at Fish & Richardson in Dallas. He provides strategic counsel to plaintiffs and defendants in intellectual property cases and conducts mock trials and mock Markman hearings.
During his tenure as chief judge, Davis saw the Eastern District of Texas’ patent docket grow to become the largest in the nation.
Davis received the award on April 1 at the NYIPLA’s 94th Annual Dinner in Honor of the Federal Judiciary.
